Abortion in the Dominican Republic

By December 7, 2015December 16th, 2019CGJ in the News
The Constitutional Tribunal of the Dominican Republic recently overturned a pro-abortion law, holding that the law violated article 37 of the constitution, which guarantees the right to life as inviolable from conception to death.

The Center for Global Justice student staff helped draft and edit a paper that strongly argued against the law and explained why the Dominican Republic should continue to uphold life. The effort was led by the Global Life Campaign. The paper was sent to the President of the DR, other government leaders, and various pastors.
