Jenitza Castro interned in Indonesia with the International Justice Initiative (IJI) based out of the Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), a Christian Law School at which a Regent alumnus, Pat Talbot, is a law professor. IJI focuses on a number of human rights issues, including combating sex trafficking and promoting religious freedom. Jenitza helped to create a book and handbook containing the summary of domestic and international laws and regulations pertaining to human trafficking to serve as a reference and training tool kit for judges, lawyers, law enforcement, and civil servants for the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of human trafficking. She also worked with ICLS to establish a new chapter in Malang, Indonesia.
