Cianna Jones is a Juris Doctor Honors candidate currently in her first year of law school, where she is pursuing a career in public interest law. She is deeply committed to advocating for victims and individuals who are unable to advocate for themselves, with a particular focus on protecting fundamental rights and expanding access to justice. Fluent in Spanish, she seeks to use her language skills to bridge gaps in legal representation and serve diverse communities more effectively.
During her undergraduate studies, Cianna developed a strong foundation in understanding social systems and inequities through a Sociology–Criminal Justice and Spanish dual degree. Currently, Cianna serves as the 1L Representative for the Black Students Law Association. She is also staffed the Center for Global Justice, where she conducts research on religious persecution in Morocco. Her work contributes to broader efforts to raise awareness and support advocacy initiatives addressing international human rights concerns.
This summer, she will continue her partnership with the Center for Global Justice by interning with Advocates for Faith and Freedom. In this role, she is eager to engage in meaningful legal work that helps safeguard First Amendment liberties. She is particularly excited to contribute to efforts that protect freedom of speech and religious expression while gaining practical experience in public interest advocacy.
